Island Timber Co. is a First Nations-owned carving school, log salvage, and custom milling partnership operating on the Malahat Nation.
Island Timber sources logs primarily through salvaging to prioritize access to local First Nations communities and carvers, craftspeople, artisans, and secondarily to local high-value-added wood processing industries.
We seek to redress the balance so this unique natural resource can be accessed by First Nations and local users instead of commodity markets.
