Carving School / Art Supply

Our Carving School is the heartbeat of our operations.

It stands as a cultural centre where aspiring First Nations apprentices can learn from Master Carvers the skills of traditional carving, both as an art practice and a sustainable business.

It’s unique - there aren’t any places like it on the coast in Canada.  It’s a home for art and artists, often with music playing, conversations and laughter.  It’s the spot people
end up when they visit.

If you are interested in art supply, such as a pole, panel or a paddle, or in scheduling a visit or participating at the school, please contact us.

Our mill provides artists and apprentices with custom cants, paddles, panels, and poles tailored to various First Nations styles, including Coast Salish, Nuu chah nulth, Kwaguilth, Nuxalk, Haida, and more.
